Requirements

Candidates must possess an MBA in marketing, business, or a related field, with at least 10 years of experience in brand or marketing strategy leadership, preferably within the trading, investing, D2C financial services, fintech, or a closely related industry. A minimum of 5 years of experience building and leading high-performing teams of 5 or more is required, along with experience in companies of 250 employees or more and managing marketing budgets of at least $10M. Proven success in building and scaling consumer brands, a go-getter mentality, resourcefulness, both analytical and creative thinking with a track record of driving measurable business outcomes, and the ability to balance short-term needs with sustainable growth strategies are essential. Candidates should also demonstrate a high propensity for innovation and experimentation, excel at cross-functional collaboration and systems thinking, be natural talent developers and team builders, and be able to navigate matrixed organizations and influence outcomes without direct authority.

Responsibilities

The Head of Awareness Marketing will develop and execute comprehensive brand and advertising strategies to differentiate the company in a competitive market. Responsibilities include defining brand voice, messaging architecture, and brand strategy to resonate with self-directed traders and investors. The role involves driving brand content strategy across PR, partnerships, and owned channels to enhance credibility and reach, and partnering with strategy, performance, and marketing operations teams to create content that supports acquisition, engagement, and retention. Additionally, the Head of Awareness Marketing will develop community-building strategies to foster brand loyalty and advocacy, launch creative partnerships and collaborations to expand reach, and drive rapid decision-making and execution by building influence networks, championing initiatives, and removing team blockers. This role also includes building compelling business cases for strategic initiatives, securing necessary resources, fostering a culture of innovation and experimentation, and navigating regulatory requirements and compliance considerations in financial services marketing.
