Candidates must possess at least 10 years of experience in senior compliance roles within regulated companies, demonstrating robust knowledge of KYB/KYC, AML/CFT, and Sanctions. Experience managing and leading teams is essential, as is a good understanding of the global Payments/Fintech industry. Preferred certifications include ACAMS, CRCM, or ICA. Experience with correspondent banking, banking as a service, and Financial Institution clients is required, along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. The ability to identify risks, control gaps, and inefficiencies, see the bigger picture, challenge the status quo, and define scalable processes is crucial.
The Head of Compliance Operations is responsible for ensuring all compliance activities meet internal and external standards within agreed SLAs, managing staffing levels for demand, and utilizing projection tools to predict future volumes. This role involves leading the engagement, selection, and management of third-party providers for compliance operations, defining and adhering to escalation points for the 2nd line and Senior Management, and leading new product and jurisdiction reviews. Key duties include identifying control gaps, implementing enhancements, building and maintaining compliance Quality Checking (QC) and testing activities, and issuing internal reports on quality and performance. The Head will also develop and improve operational policies and procedures, facilitate external audits and exams, support bank partner requests, conduct operational reporting, and assist in streamlining compliance processes through automation and technology. Additionally, they will manage and contribute to global Compliance Committees and participate in compliance or business-driven projects.
