Group Product Manager, Patient Identity & Privacy

Employment Type: Full-time

Position Overview

Ro is a direct-to-patient healthcare company dedicated to helping patients achieve their health goals by delivering the easiest, most effective care possible. As the only company offering nationwide telehealth, labs, and pharmacy services, Ro's vertically integrated platform provides a convenient, end-to-end healthcare experience from diagnosis to medication delivery and ongoing care. Since 2017, Ro has served millions of patients across the United States, including those in primary care deserts.

Ro is building a patient-centric healthcare system designed around patient goals, not institutions. This system offers transparent pricing and processes, is highly effective and convenient, and evolves with patient needs.

Ro has been recognized as a Fortune Best Workplace in New York and Health Care for four consecutive years (2021-2024). In 2023, Ro was also named Best Workplace for Parents for the third year in a row. In 2022, Ro was listed as a CNBC Disruptor 50.

The Role

As the Group Product Manager, Patient Identity & Privacy, you will lead the development and roadmap of identity, consent, and first-party data governance capabilities. You will collaborate closely with Security, Legal, Data, Marketing, Growth, and patient-facing teams to define and build secure, scalable systems that protect patient data and enable Ro’s growth. You will also apply security and privacy best practices to Ro’s core services as the company scales in a dynamic environment.

This role requires a proactive individual who thrives on solving complex problems, collaborating across diverse teams, and effectively communicating capabilities, new features, and strategic roadmaps. You will lead a cross-functional squad in day-to-day building, experimenting, and optimizing. We are seeking a data-fluent self-starter passionate about crafting creative solutions using best practices and driving end-user results.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary platform product manager for privacy-focused areas across Ro, including first-party data, user registration, authentication, identity management, and consent management.
  • Develop and enhance authentication protocols to ensure secure and seamless patient access to Ro’s platform.
  • Evolve consent management frameworks to provide patients with transparency and control over their data usage, while supporting Ro’s business needs.
  • Lead Growth & Marketing teams in the responsible leverage of first-party data for personalization and digital advertising, ensuring Ro’s marketing stack is built with privacy-first principles.
  • Partner with Engineering, Legal, and Security to define policies and implement solutions compliant with GDPR, CCPA, and other privacy regulations.

This role is a senior individual contributor (IC) role.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of product experience.
  • 7-9 years of professional experience focused on first-party data, privacy, and/or identity within a D2C-focused company.
  • Strong understanding of authentication protocols, consent frameworks, and privacy-focused data governance.
  • Demonstrated experience driving outcomes by identifying data-driven opportunities and executing on them.
  • Successful track record of shipping complex platform features for cross-functional partners and making data-informed decisions.
  • Excellent product judgment, with the ability to prioritize competing opportunities, balance stakeholder needs with business priorities, and drive detailed trade-offs across the product.
