Position Overview

The Group Medicare Consumer Engagement Professional 2 oversees the enrollment, education, engagement, and activation duties for client groups, regardless of segment, and for product where warranted. This role's work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action.

The Consumer Engagement Professional 2 contributes to Group Medicare business strategy by understanding benefit offerings to ensure enrollment success, identifying member education opportunities to drive maximum utilization of available resources, and directing clients on the use of available resources. This role understands department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas. Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction, receiving guidance where needed. Follows established guidelines/procedures.

General Expectations of the Consumer Engagement Professional Role

  • Monthly (and possibly twice per month) communication updates to groups.
  • Assist with Bringing Humana To You (BH2U’s), as needed.
  • Open Enrollment (OE) meeting support.
  • Managing materials/giveaways.
  • Recording Brainsharks (pre-recorded presentations).
  • Helping to cover OE meetings – virtual and in-person.
  • Scheduling Zoom meetings, in-person meetings (i.e., securing venues), etc., for OE.
  • Involvement in tracking the calendar of meetings and attendance.
  • Assisting/supporting of Wellness events and other member-facing meetings.
  • Support and involvement of Humana strategy for wellness engagement – i.e., hosting wellness series of seminars.
  • Involvement as needed for escalated member issues.
  • Assistance with reporting.
  • Example: Go365 (Humana’s wellness program).

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Solid leadership and personal accountability for work and productivity.
  • Health and Life license or in process of pursuing (completion within 30 days of hire).
  • This role is part of Humana's Driver safety program and therefore requires an individual to have a valid state driver's license and proof of personal vehicle liability insurance with at least 100/300/100 limits.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Able to meet deadlines and work with minimum supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Group Medicare knowledge.
  • Strong presentation skills at all levels, including direct to retirees and clients.
  • Someone who feels empowered to identify and resolve problems independently.
  • Self-starter and well-organized.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time during the Fall Open Enrollment period (August – November).

Additional Information

To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates’ ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates must meet the following criteria:

  • At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is recommended; wireless, wired cable, or DSL connection is suggested.
  • Satellite, cellular, and microwave connections can be used only if approved by leadership.
  • Associates who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.

Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.

Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.

Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40

Pay Range: The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full-time (40 hours per week) employment.
