Requirements

  • Knowledge of GMP and engineering standards
  • Expertise in L&D strategy, instructional design, and capability frameworks
  • Experience with needs assessment methods (e.g., GEMBA, role analysis, focus groups, interviews)
  • Proficiency in EHS, Quality, Compliance, and Productivity training, including OTJ training and HAPS EPI tools/center-lines
  • Ability to partner with site leadership, functional stakeholders, SMEs, and vendors
  • Familiarity with global L&D frameworks, standards, systems, and processes (e.g., 70/20/10 model)
  • Compliance with Environment, Health, Safety & Wellbeing Policy, site SOPs, EHS & Engineering standards, OHSA, and Zero Accident Prevention (ZAP)

Responsibilities

  • Co-create site/function L&D strategy with L&D Business Partners, aligned to business agenda and capability priorities
  • Ensure solutions follow global frameworks, standards, systems, and processes; align to Capability Framework
  • Lead robust learning needs diagnostics to define capability gaps
  • With SMEs, set target audiences, precise learning objectives, and clear evaluation mechanisms/measures of success
  • Define effective learning mix (instructor-led, e-learning, blended, social) using sound instructional design
  • Create and maintain operational training materials; deliver/facilitate training where appropriate
  • Lead site onboarding across EHS, Quality, and Productivity; provide and coordinate on-the-job training
  • Manage refresher training calendars and compliance tracking
  • Broker resources across L&D, SMEs, technical workplace trainers, Centers of Excellence; interface with external suppliers
  • Coach and advise managers and employees on L&D offerings, capability standards, and their application
  • Embed capability models/frameworks locally; support enterprise curricula (leadership & business skills)
  • Contribute as a key member of the Operational Excellence team on learning initiatives that drive site performance
  • Work in accordance with EHS policies and SOPs; ensure training on incident reporting and investigations; foster reporting culture
  • Ensure compliance with site health & safety standards and OHSA; drive Safety Continuous Improvement Frameworks
  • Provide training support and questions on weekly Gembas; support Zero Accident Prevention (ZAP)
