Must be a U.S. citizen with a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business and over 5 years of professional experience. Candidates should have experience researching and applying US GAAP principles, possess effective communication and presentation skills, and be able to resolve complex accounting issues independently in a fast-paced environment. Desired skills include aerospace and defense/government contracting experience, a Master's degree, and an active CPA license or eligibility.
Perform technical accounting analysis on emerging transactions and contracts, documenting conclusions and presenting them to leadership. Collaborate with business functions to research and guide accounting for complex transactions, review customer contracts for ASC 606 revenue recognition, and identify/correct accounting risks. Operationalize business transactions to conform to SOX, CAS, and FAR/DFAR requirements, and review proposed accounting standards for business impact. Ensure adherence to internal controls, assist with special projects and financial reporting, and support system configuration for SAP alignment with accounting requirements.
