Requirements

Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with a CPA, CIA, or CISA certification being a plus. A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in SOX compliance, internal audit, or public accounting is required. Experience with platform environments, IT general controls (ITGCs), application controls, and proficiency in SQL are highly preferred. Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills are essential, along with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Google Workspace is expected, and experience with audit management tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

The Senior SOX Associate will lead the coordination and oversight of third-party SOX providers, participate in SOX risk assessments, and assist in updating internal control documentation. They will plan, execute, and document the SOX compliance program, including walkthroughs and control testing for both business and IT controls. This role involves evaluating the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls, identifying deficiencies, and developing remediation plans. The Associate will partner with external auditors, maintain process documentation, assess SOX impacts of business changes, and support the development of internal control policies and procedures. They will also provide guidance and training on SOX requirements and best practices to business units.
