Requirements

Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field, with a minimum of 2 years of relevant accounting experience. A solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting is essential, along with strong written and verbal communication skills. The ability to collaborate cross-functionally, adapt to a fast-paced environment, and meet deadlines is also required. Preferred qualifications include CPA certification, Big 4 public accounting experience, familiarity with process improvement and automation tools, and experience with accounting platforms like NetSuite and/or Ramp.

Responsibilities

The Staff Accountant III will play an integral role in the general ledger month-end closing process, including preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting account analysis. Responsibilities include preparing journal entries for various accounting areas such as marketing spend accruals, prepaid expenses, cost allocations, fixed assets, professional fees, revenue reconciliations, and customer payments. The role involves performing monthly general ledger and bank reconciliations, managing accounting processes like vendor payments and employee reimbursements, and understanding the accounts payable cycle. Additionally, the position requires assisting with internal control documentation and evaluation, supporting audit requests, identifying opportunities for process streamlining using automation, staying current on U.S. GAAP, and contributing to ad hoc projects and financial analysis.
