Requirements

  • Master’s degree in biological sciences, engineering, or related field
  • 3+ years’ experience in product management in the IVD or medical devices industry and/or experience in the flow cytometry industry
  • Strong interpersonal skills, demonstrated ability to work on complex projects in a highly matrixed environment including various geographies and functional disciplines
  • Agile, comfortable with ambiguity and ability to actively manage multiple projects and priorities concurrently
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
  • Estimated travel up to 30% of the time, including international travel

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute mid- and long-term strategies to sustain and grow Beckman Coulter Life Sciences flow cytometry reagents portfolio in the research, clinical research and clinical IVD market segments
  • Understand market dynamics and technological innovations. Identify new business opportunities for new and existing products
  • Gather and analyze customer insights and competitive intelligence to inform new product development and continuous improvement
  • Translate market, customer and application requirements into clear and concrete product design characteristics as well as go to market strategies
  • Lead through development as a customer champion to identify customer pain-points, user needs and ensure products solve valuable problems in attractive market segments
  • Partner with software and hardware portfolio and solution product managers to develop integrated workflow solution concepts addressing unmet customer needs
  • Proactively manage product lifecycle to ensure viability of platform
  • Partner with marketing and commercial teams to ensure a successful introduction of new products across markets and geographies
  • Own and communicate business cases from initial market research up to product launch
