Strong understanding of technologies, solutions, key sourcing processes, tools, and contractual/legal aspects is essential. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, along with proven stakeholder management experience, are necessary. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products and the ability to analyze and interpret information insightfully, manage multiple projects, and work in a deadline-driven or agile environment are also key requirements.
The Global Category Specialist for Tech & IT will support the development and implementation of global category strategies, manage and lead global category initiatives and projects, and lead contract negotiations. Responsibilities include defining specifications, monitoring supplier performance, managing demand, supporting innovation programs, managing supplier risks, and conducting regular business reviews. This role involves analyzing supply markets, identifying sourcing options, running tender processes, challenging current practices, harmonizing specifications, and ensuring adherence to signing authorities. Additionally, the specialist will manage supplier relationships, support performance reviews, drive continuous improvement, develop alternative suppliers, and lead contract lifecycle management, including drafting, reviews, renewals, and compliance checks.
