Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field, with a Master's degree being preferred. A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing or procurement is required, including at least 5 years in a leadership or senior sourcing role. Extensive experience in sourcing or procurement leadership for IT, especially in cloud and SaaS environments, is essential. The role demands an in-depth understanding of licensing models, cloud economics, and subscription-based services, along with strong negotiation, stakeholder engagement, and vendor governance capabilities. Knowledge of IT security, compliance, and enterprise architecture is necessary, as is a proven track record in managing large-scale sourcing initiatives and supplier negotiations. A deep understanding of sourcing methodologies, total cost of ownership, and contract management, coupled with strong analytical and communication skills, is crucial. Proficiency in procurement systems like SAP Ariba, Coupa, Oracle, Graphite, or Ivalua, and Excel-based modeling, is required. Experience in global sourcing and managing international supplier relationships is preferred, as are certifications such as CPSM, CPP, or Lean Six Sigma.
The Director of Global Strategic Sourcing & Procurement is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive sourcing and procurement strategies aligned with corporate objectives, and leading category management strategies to deliver long-term value. This role involves driving procurement transformation initiatives, including digital tools, policy standardization, and process automation. The Director will build, lead, and mentor a high-performing sourcing and procurement team, establishing KPIs and performance metrics. Key duties include developing strong supplier relationships to meet quality, delivery, innovation, and cost objectives, overseeing contract lifecycle management, and evaluating, negotiating, and managing key supplier agreements and strategic partnerships. The role requires partnering with internal business units to align sourcing strategies with business needs and acting as a trusted advisor to executive stakeholders on market trends, cost drivers, and sourcing risks. Additionally, the Director will identify and execute cost-saving opportunities and implement robust risk assessment and supplier compliance programs.
