Position Overview

As a key member of the GFS Team, reporting to the Revenue Recognition Team Lead, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial integrity of the organization. Your responsibilities will include overseeing general ledger accounts and ensuring compliance with IFRS and company policies. You will actively participate in critical financial processes that support month-end and year-end activities, collaborating closely with various company partners. This role offers opportunities to enhance your skills, support team members, and contribute to special projects, all while making a significant contribution to our financial success.


Main Responsibilities

  • Participate in month-end and year-end closing activities, including the preparation of journal entries and supporting documentation for transactions.
  • Conduct monthly reconciliations for general ledger accounts of medium to high complexity, including researching variances and preparing necessary adjustments.
  • Review reconciliations for low and medium priority accounts to ensure accuracy.
  • Prepare audit schedules and documentation as requested by the Corporate Team.
  • Communicate effectively with company partners, including the Corporate team and various internal teams, to address inquiries and provide support.
  • Assist junior team members and contribute to special projects.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field. Additional education or certifications in the area are considered ideal.
  • Experience: Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in account reconciliation. Experience with Six Sigma projects is considered ideal.
  • Language: Advanced English level.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
    • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office tools (MS Excel, MS Word, and Power BI).
