Requirements

  • Excellent knowledge of the restaurant and hospitality industry in Quebec
  • Strong network in the Quebec hospitality community
  • Comfort speaking in public (asset if experienced with media)
  • Bilingual in French and English, with ability to discuss the sector in both languages
  • Good understanding of the business world in Quebec, including ties with government and industry associations

Responsibilities

  • Build strong, trusting relationships with restaurateurs, chefs, and professionals across Quebec (Lightspeed users or not) by collecting feedback, identifying challenges, and sharing concrete improvement ideas with internal teams based on real market needs
  • Help restaurateurs maximize Lightspeed tools and ensure their needs are reflected in the product roadmap
  • Provide Lightspeed with the "voice of the industry" and ensure comprehensive understanding of sector needs from dishwasher to owner
  • Be an active, visible presence in Montreal and Quebec hospitality scene by identifying key events (roundtables, conferences, panels) and representing Lightspeed when relevant
  • Create partnerships with associations, influencers, and institutions supporting restaurateurs
  • Work regularly with Revenu Québec, provincial government, and local bodies to promote fair, effective, business-friendly policies
  • Contribute to Lightspeed's visibility in innovation, technology, and public policy in hospitality by working with Marketing and PR teams to publish analyses, spark discussions, and highlight community achievements
  • Position Lightspeed as a trusted ally and leader in the local ecosystem
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Marketing, and Sales teams to ensure Quebec's unique context is considered in decisions and products
