Candidates should possess a strong understanding of retail business fundamentals, including department sales trends, inventory management, guest shopping patterns, pricing and promotions strategies, and experience building a guest-first culture. Leadership experience in coaching, developing, evaluating, and retaining team members is also required, along with the ability to plan department workloads and drive process improvements.
As a General Merchandise Team Leader, responsibilities include executing daily/weekly workload to deliver on department sales goals, leading a team of hourly team members through interviewing, coaching, and training, ensuring merchandise is set, merchandised, accurately priced, and signed on the sales floor, and managing inbound, outbound, replenishment, and promotional signing processes for all General Merchandise (GM) areas of the store, including Food & Beverage and Food Service.
