Lead Full Stack Engineer

Position Overview

The Lead Full Stack Engineer performs software engineering activities in all layers of the stack, from setting up the database to programming in the back-end and the appearance at the front-end. The Lead Full Stack Engineer works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial.

Responsibilities

The Lead Full Stack Engineer is involved in all stages of software development, including:

• Front-end development
• Back-end development
• Database integrations
• Network and hosting management
• User interface and user experience
• Back-end server management

This role also involves advising executives to develop functional strategies (often segment specific) on matters of significance. The Lead Full Stack Engineer exercises independent judgment and decision making on complex issues regarding job duties and related tasks, and works under minimal supervision. Uses independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors and determining the best course of action. Use your skills to make an impact!

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or relevant, equivalent years of work experience.
• 8 or more years of progressive IT experience as a senior developer in large IT projects.
• Expertise in designing software solutions, Azure Cloud Services, and RESTful APIs.
• 2 or more years of project and/or team leadership experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's Degree

Work-at-Home (WAH) Requirements:

• Must have the ability to provide a high-speed DSL or cable modem for a home office.
• Associates or contractors who live and work from home in the state of California will be provided payment for their internet expense.
• A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 25x10 (25mbps download x 10mbps upload) is required.
• Satellite and Wireless Internet service is NOT allowed for this role.
• A dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.

Travel:

• While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.
