Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED; Bachelor’s degree in business or related area preferred
  • ASE P2 certified or ASE ready equivalent; ASE certification preferred but not required
  • 2-3 years of experience managing a team of 10-20 team members in a fast-paced retail environment
  • Successful experience managing profitability with proven financial and business acumen
  • Working knowledge of automotive systems preferred
  • Superior communication and customer service skills; speak and write English (bi-lingual a plus)
  • Ability to use Microsoft software effectively (Word, Excel required; PowerPoint preferred)
  • Ability to calculate figures such as discounts, percentages, sales increases, and gross profit percent
  • Ability to review and analyze P&L statements and business reports
  • Ability to locate and stock parts; source from special order, FDO, second source, etc
  • Safety knowledge and skills
  • Parts and automotive system knowledge
  • Ability to execute and train advanced solution, project, and product quality recommendations
  • Ability to execute and train all store operational processes, procedures, testing/diagnostic equipment for DIY services, inventory systems, store equipment, POS, and parts lookup systems
  • Ability to hold others accountable, inspect work quality, and give inspiring feedback
  • Ability to work assortment of days, evenings, and weekends
  • Physical ability to walk/stand predominantly; talk/hear; use hands/fingers; reach; climb/balance; stoop/kneel/crouch/crawl; lift/move up to 50 lbs frequently and 100 lbs occasionally; specific vision abilities (close, distance, color, depth perception, adjust focus)
  • Ability to work inside mostly, occasionally outside in various weather conditions

Responsibilities

  • Provide GAS3 selling experience for DIY and professional customers
  • Provide leadership and developmental coaching for store Team Members
  • Achieve personal/store sales goals and service objectives
  • Manage DIY services including battery installation, testing, wiper installs, etc
  • Ensure high standards of customer service including prompt handling of complaints for product and operational standards
  • Understand levers to impact P&L
  • Manager on duty responsibilities (touch base/coaching, issue resolution, floor/phone management, task assignment/completion, safety, open/close duties)
  • Weekly scheduling process
  • Assist in backing up operations of commercial delivery program
  • Act like an owner
