Candidates must possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent, a current driver's license in good standing, and the ability to meet the Company Safe Vehicular Operations Policy driving records standards. They should also demonstrate proficiency in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, flooring, or appliances, along with basic familiarity with computers and web-based applications.
The General Maintenance Technician will complete change of occupancy maintenance (COM) work and fulfill other property maintenance requirements, including cleaning, painting, interior/exterior decorating and maintenance, lawn maintenance, debris removal, plumbing, electrical work, smoke detector maintenance, repair or replacement of lights, roof repairs, heating/air systems maintenance, and appliance repairs. They will also complete repairs as directed, transport and install appliances, repair window screens and door frames, remove flooring materials, respond to emergency repairs, update work order status, keep supervisors informed, and maintain vehicle inventory.
