High school diploma, Industrial maintenance card or journeyman’s license preferred
1+ years industrial maintenance experience required, must have experience in hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic electrical theory
Ability to interpret schematics and blueprints during troubleshooting
Proficient in the use of hand and power tools and measuring equipment
Basic computer skills required, including ability to learn and utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively
Ability to self-motivate and work independently
Comfortable operating at high elevations if needed
Ability to lift or move 75 pounds
Ability to withstand changing environments
Ability to operate an aerial lift and sit-down forklift
Ability to work variable shifts, weekends, and/or holidays (1st shift 5:00AM – 5:00PM, rotating flex schedule)
Approximately one to two weeks travel per year for technical and safety training

Responsibilities

Perform and complete preventative maintenance and repairs of plant production equipment, including mechanical repairs (interpret prints/schematics of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic; shaft seal replacements; motor replacement and alignments; rebuilds of pneumatic and hydraulic cylinders, valves, pumps; bearing, sprockets, conveyor systems maintenance; vacuum pump knowledge and packaging machines; box makers and taper machines)
Perform basic electrical troubleshooting including low and high voltage up to 480 volts
Oil removal and system maintenance on hydraulic and vacuum equipment
Timely repair of plant equipment/systems with precision maintenance techniques to meet production rates and maintenance downtime goals
Data entry daily into current CMMS system including preventative maintenance records and inspection generated work orders
Maintain a safe work environment, including all safety protocols and company policies
Perform other duties as assigned by supervision
Participate in in-house and external training programs and other skill development in all areas of the maintenance department
Effectively work with members of management, operations/production personnel, and various contractors if needed
