Position Overview

Brafton, a leading global content marketing firm, is seeking a talented freelance writer with a specialization in travel, particularly cruises. The role involves creating compelling, SEO-optimized content for Brafton's travel industry clients as part of their content marketing campaigns. This is an ongoing freelance opportunity that requires extensive travel experience, a background in travel writing, and the ability to follow precise instructions.

Responsibilities

• Research, create, and revise high-quality content in accordance with specified deadlines.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and Content Marketing Strategists to achieve client expectations and objectives.
• Adhere to highly specific client checklists for style, structure, and organization.
• Follow defined processes for content formatting, SEO optimization, sourcing, and submission.
• Participate in virtual project, client, and team meetings.
• Track weekly writing and editing production using the in-house project management system.
• Conduct research, interviews, ideation, and writing for content marketing campaigns.

Skills & Requirements

• 1-3 years of professional writing experience, including specific travel writing experience.
• A related degree in fields such as English or Journalism is preferred.
• Extensive experience with travel and cruising.
• Excellent writing and editing skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Comprehensive understanding of SEO and best practices for branded writing.
• Strong research abilities and the capacity to quickly learn and write about complex subjects.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume, deadline-oriented environment.
• A creative approach to client briefs and content marketing goals.
• Strong videoconferencing presence for client meetings.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fully remote setting.
• Knowledge of AP (Associated Press) Style is a plus.
