Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Aviation Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Strong programming and scripting skills in Go, Powershell, or TypeScript
  • Experience with flight networking systems (preferred in secure or regulated environments like aviation, law enforcement, or defense)
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization (Kubernetes, Docker)
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex technical problems, especially involving hardware/software integration in field environments
  • Excellent communication skills for cross-functional coordination with non-technical aviation stakeholders
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across systems, integrations, and APIs
  • Proficiency in querying and analyzing data (SQL)
  • Experience with reporting and visualization tools (Grafana, PowerBI, Tableau)
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals (e.g., VPNs, firewalls, routing)
  • Prior client-facing or consulting experience in aviation, law enforcement, defense, or critical infrastructure
  • Driven by impact and mission readiness. Able to jump in when customers or field systems need critical support, even outside normal hours
  • Knowledge of aviation drone standards, such as FAA Part 107

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the technical bridge between customers, Customer Success, and Engineering teams
  • Act as the first point of technical escalation, diagnosing and resolving complex issues
  • Validate bugs to ensure core engineering teams can focus on product innovation
  • Work hands-on with law enforcement and aviation partners
  • Translate technical details into clear, actionable guidance
  • Ensure systems run reliably in mission-critical environments
  • Provide on-call support and cross-team coordination
  • Immerse in Flock’s aviation products, compliance requirements, and integration landscape (first 30 days)
  • Shadow live drone deployments (first 30 days)
