Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics or relevant experience
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar position
  • Familiarity with data structures, storage systems, cloud infrastructure, front-end frameworks, and other technical tools
  • Understanding of how technical decisions impact the user of what you’re building
  • Proficiency with programming languages such as Java, C++, Python, JavaScript, or similar
  • Ability to work effectively in teams of technical and non-technical individuals
  • Skill and comfort working in a rapidly changing environment with dynamic objectives and iteration with users
  • Demonstrated ability to continuously learn, work independently, and make decisions with minimal supervision
  • Willingness and interest to travel as needed
  • Experience with technologies such as Python, Javascript, React, Google Cloud, Amazon Web Services

Responsibilities

  • Build the business within the context of a single customer at a time
  • Seek out valuable, high-impact problems that hold customers back (multi-domain: cashflow, production, safety, environment)
  • Spend time with customers to understand the true nature of their problems
  • Create new solutions and prove their value, owning the process from start to finish
  • Help navigate and utilize Gecko’s platforms and tools that scale across customers
  • Persist until solutions achieve real impact
