Responsibilities
Directing department personnel to meet goals and objectives
Communicating directly with store management and department supervisors
Selecting, onboarding, and coaching new team members
Scheduling all team members
Engaging with customers through greetings, product information, selling suggestions, and active sampling
Taking customer orders and ensuring satisfaction
Ensuring department personnel follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
Ordering products and supplies to maintain stock levels and merchandising standards
Overseeing the preparation and serving/merchandising of deli/food service items (breakfast, lunch, dinner, fried foods, pizzas, salads, soups, sandwiches, roller grill items, beverages, and snacks)
Displaying deli/food service items according to guidelines
Following product recipes
Rotating deli/food service items for sale, ensuring quality, safety, and shrink control
Receiving merchandise and supplies, auditing invoices, and breaking down orders
Positioning cases of products in storage areas or coolers
