Responsibilities
Directing department personnel and meeting department goals and objectives
Communicating directly with store management and department supervisors
Selecting, onboarding, and coaching new team members
Scheduling all team members
Engaging with customers through greetings, product information, selling suggestions, and active sampling
Taking customer orders and ensuring satisfaction
Ensuring department personnel follow all county, city, and company food safety and sanitation guidelines
Ordering products and supplies to maintain adequate stock levels
Overseeing the preparation and serving/merchandising of deli/food service items (breakfast, lunch, dinner, fried foods, pizzas, salads, soups, sandwiches, roller grill items, beverages, and snacks)
Displaying deli/food service items according to merchandising guidelines
Following product recipes without deviation
Rotating deli/food service items for sale, ensuring quality, safety, and shrink control
Receiving merchandise, auditing invoices, breaking down orders, and positioning products in storage areas
