Requirements

  • Ability to lead and develop teams through teaching, training, active listening, touring stores, and providing feedback (Tour to Teach)

  • Proficiency in managing customer service initiatives (e.g., store of the community, community outreach), resolving customer issues, developing action plans, and providing process improvement leadership
  • Knowledge of reviewing and evaluating P&L statements, budgeting, forecasting, controlling expenses, merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, operational processes, and mitigating shrink
  • Supervisory skills including hiring, training, mentoring associates, assigning duties, setting expectations, providing recognition, and promoting a belonging mindset
  • Ability to recruit and develop qualified associates to meet staffing needs and company growth
  • Competence in coordinating job-related activities, developing stakeholder relationships, supporting plans/initiatives, setting goals, measuring progress, addressing improvements, and promoting continuous learning
  • Understanding of company policies, procedures, mission, values, ethics, integrity, Open Door Policy, and Walmart values (e.g., respect the individual, act with integrity)
  • Ability to build high-performing teams, embrace differences, foster belonging, work collaboratively, attract/retain talent, and promote regenerative goals

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop teams by teaching, training, listening to associates, touring stores, providing feedback, communicating on operations/business initiatives, leading change efforts, and setting expectations
  • Model exceptional customer service, manage/support initiatives (e.g., community programs), resolve customer issues, develop action plans, and ensure high-quality customer experience
  • Drive financial performance and sales by reviewing P&L, managing budgeting/forecasting/expenses, monitoring merchandise/inventory/operations, and implementing plans to achieve sales/profit goals and mitigate shrink
  • Provide supervision/development for hourly associates: hire, train, mentor, assign duties, set expectations, recognize, communicate, promote belonging, and recruit to meet staffing/growth needs
  • Coordinate/overs ee job activities: maintain stakeholder relationships, support plans/initiatives, set/measure goals, build accountability, address improvements, and promote learning/adaptability
  • Ensure compliance with policies/procedures, support mission/values/ethics via action plans, utilize Open Door Policy, and guide business processes
  • Build high-performing teams, embrace diversity, create belonging culture, collaborate effectively, attract/retain/develop talent, and recognize contributions
  • Act with integrity: promote ethics/compliance, model Walmart values, hold accountable, support regenerative goals (e.g., positive impact, eliminate waste, local giving)
