Requirements

Candidates should have at least 6 years of experience in finance roles, including financial analysis, operations, general accounting, and controllership, preferably in the fintech, financial services, crypto assets, or payments sectors. A degree in information systems, finance, accounting, or a related field is desired, along with familiarity with banking systems and cloud-based financial systems. Knowledge of GAAP principles, especially regarding revenue recognition and fair value measurements, is important. Proficiency in BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, BigQuery, or Looker is required, as well as an understanding of financial systems processes, ERP, planning, analytics, reporting, and implementation. Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally are essential, along with experience in leading strategic financial initiatives and navigating a fast-paced startup environment.

Responsibilities

The Financial Operations Manager will own various crypto-asset and fiat finance, treasury, and accounting priorities, including tracking revenue models and liquidity management. They will optimize financial systems and reporting by collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance tracking and allocation of funds. The role involves automating processes, implementing systems for accurate reporting on balance sheet metrics, and analyzing crypto transactions to provide actionable recommendations. The manager will prepare regular reports related to customer and company metrics, understand and audit financial processes, and serve as a subject matter expert for system integrations. They will also design and enhance financial controls, participate in budgeting and forecasting processes, and support management in special projects.
