2+ years work experience with evidence of increasing responsibility and scope
Experience working in a Shared Services as a staff analyst, business analyst, or senior financial analyst
Knowledge of variance analysis, data mining, month-end close, requesting input for financial forecasting
Firm understanding of CAPEX versus OPEX
Very strong Excel skills (vlookup, if statements, nesting statements, pivot tables) – ability to handle large quantities of data in various formats and transform into meaningful data
Knowledge of Oracle and Hyperion systems is a plus
Ability to work in a team-driven environment yet independently to complete daily tasks
Strong attention to detail and willingness to deep dive into data
Ability to review and understand subledger and accounting basics (debits, credits, accruals, etc.)
Ability to forge strong partnerships with other parts of the business
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Comfortable working in Excel and Google Sheets
Willingness to learn new techniques and improve proficiency in required systems
Ability to make accurate, independent decisions based on data

Responsibilities
Perform monthly headcount reconciliation and allocations between the financial system and payroll data to support monthly actuals and updates to forecast
Run standardized and ad hoc reporting on a monthly and quarterly basis to share with Tech Finance leadership
Run subledger reports out of Oracle to support the Finance team during month end close
Perform research and analysis of variances to plan by reviewing invoices and other journal entries posted by the Accounting team
Support the Finance team with annual budget preparations and analysis
Document processes and procedures ensuring compliance with Company guidelines and recommend process flow improvements
Perform backup function especially in cases of high volume or shortage of manpower
Escalate issues as appropriate
Assist the team with ad hoc analysis and projects throughout the year as needed
