Requirements

  • Master's degree with CA/CIMA/ACCA/CPA qualification or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a medium to large scale manufacturing operation
  • Strong detailed knowledge of SAP and integrated manufacturing systems preferred
  • Demonstrated track record of both internal and external business partnering
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to deal with senior management
  • Strong presentation and communication skills and ability to influence management in the decision-making process

Responsibilities

  • Support and manage all aspects of plant financial operations, including: (a) reporting on financial performance monthly (actual and rolling estimate results) to CPS finance and plant management, meeting all submission deadlines; (b) ensuring all financial accounting for the plant is completed to CPS/Corporate requirements with accurate reporting of monthly financial forecasts and actual results; (c) ensuring value-added analyses are completed for all major variances to plan and working closely with budget owners to drive corrective measures; (d) proactively identifying and communicating risks and opportunities
  • Support and manage the annual planning process: (a) managing all Business Plan (BP) P&L and balance sheet processes and presentations, ensuring deadlines are met with quality analysis and commentary; (b) managing timetable and communicating with plant management/planning/procurement owners; (c) working with Ballina management team to ensure key inputs are prepared and approved within CPS guidelines/deadlines; (d) preparing detailed analyses to assist in communication with Groups and Operating Unit (OU), particularly Region Standards communications and follow-up
  • Support strong control and compliance and work with internal and external auditors
  • Business partnering: (a) managing the financial aspects of non-concentrate business models and any reporting routines; (b) preparing detailed supply point shift analytics to determine the optimal approach for the Company; (c) building value-added relationships with internal plant stakeholders and with OU Finance personnel
  • Drive Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement leveraging AI and new technologies: (a) coordinating Operational Excellence initiatives in Finance to implement process improvements and standardization of processes across the plants
  • Provide finance input to a variety of ad hoc and project requests and drive value-added initiatives in the plants in conjunction with other functions: (a) supporting key strategy projects including SAP upgrade implementation
  • Act as deputy for the Ireland Finance Director on the Ballina site when required
  • Manage a small team of direct reports and coordinate inputs from financial platform services
  • Assist the Ireland Finance Director in value-based decision-making and successful execution of projects at the Ballina site and across the wider business
