Requirements

Candidates must have proven experience as a Field Service Specialist, Technician, or similar role, with a degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics. Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively. A valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively within Spain and Portugal, sometimes at short notice, are required. Experience as an Application Specialist is a plus.

Responsibilities

The Field System Specialist will perform on-site installation, maintenance, and repair of company products and equipment, including PDX systems, and diagnose/troubleshoot technical issues to find root causes and implement solutions. They will provide front-line customer support, training, and service for PDX systems, including instruments, assays, and software, and deliver technical product training to end users both on-site and remotely. Responsibilities also include maintaining accurate records of service activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, developing in-depth knowledge of system software, hardware, and assay performance, supporting sales and marketing teams, independently leading customer inquiries and service interventions, and initiating technical investigations for customer complaints.
