Requirements

Candidates should possess a minimum of 1-2 years of technical experience in a hospital setting, with prior Field Technician experience in a healthcare setting being considered. An active and unrestricted driver’s license and a personal vehicle are required for local work assignments, and travel time and mileage will be reimbursed. Applicants must be comfortable with basic software programs and the Microsoft operating system, and they should have the ability to assemble and disassemble equipment and devices, sit and stand for extended periods, and lift up to 50 pounds. Furthermore, candidates must be able to work an assignment-based schedule with a commitment of 40+ hours per week when on assignment, and they must clear hospital vendor credentialing requirements, including proof of vaccination status.

Responsibilities

The Field Service Technician will assist field service staff with organizing, testing, updating, and installing medical devices, as well as configuring hardware, software, and network products. They will manually move and carry medical equipment, set up and organize equipment and workstations, conduct routine checks and record data from product tests, provide ongoing communication and customer support to hospital staff, and offer on-the-job training (OTJ) for new hires. Additionally, the technician will travel nationally to support customer needs, complete assignment-based schedules, and perform other duties as directed by management.
