Candidates should possess an associate degree in biomedical, IT, electronics, or a related field, and have at least 1 year of technical experience required; 3+ years in a field technician role preferred. Prior military experience in electronics or IT roles is encouraged to apply. Strong troubleshooting abilities in electronics, mechanics, and electromechanical systems are necessary, along with familiarity with automation equipment in healthcare settings and an + certification preferred. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are also required, as is the ability to lift up to 70 lbs and perform physical tasks such as pushing, pulling, bending, and standing for extended periods. Must set scheduled availability in IQVIA systems and maintain personal parts inventory.
The Field Service Technician will perform installation, configuration, and updates for medical devices, software, and networking systems. They will conduct routine checks to verify proper functionality after setup, troubleshoot device and network issues, resolving technical problems independently or escalating complex cases, and provide customer-focused technical support in a professional, responsive, and resourceful manner. The role involves educating healthcare staff on device utilization and software functionality, participating in upgrades, preventative maintenance, and system migrations, and maintaining compliance with hospital vendor credentialing requirements. Consultant Requirements include extensive travel for field-based service assignments, and may require compliance with hospital vaccine and credentialing requirements. Duties may require some nights and weekends based on customer needs, and travel is regional, national, and local, with work scheduled during weekdays.
