Candidates must have a strong understanding of automotive technology and business operations, with experience in technical support and problem resolution. A valid driver's license and the ability to travel frequently within the assigned territory (Gilroy, CA to surrounding areas) are essential. Experience with IT hardware troubleshooting and familiarity with GM Techline products are preferred.
The Field Service Engineer will provide on-site technical support to GM dealerships, diagnosing and directing repairs on customer vehicles to reduce warranty expenses and repurchases. Responsibilities include escalating complex cases, resolving product issues, managing territory support, providing feedback on service readiness, and conducting product training. The role also involves troubleshooting IT hardware and Techline tools, supporting wholesale operations, reporting on field product issues, and assisting with arbitration hearings and legal cases.
