Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering, electronics, engineering or similar (preferred, but relevant experience considered)
  • Prior experience in medical electronics service or related field service (medical devices/software based medical systems advantageous)
  • Strong electronic and mechanical engineering skills including troubleshooting
  • Computer skills: MS Office, Linux
  • Familiarity with Cathlab/operating room procedures/protocols (advantageous)
  • Willingness to be flexible, respond at short notice to scheduling requirements, work with autonomy in a fast-paced environment
  • Fluent English, Polish and German (both written and spoken)
  • Ability to travel (up to 80% of time)

Responsibilities

  • Hardware/software field support: site inspection and site preparation, system installation, maintenance, calibration, upgrades, troubleshooting and repair, demo system maintenance and preparation for congresses
  • Document field service interventions per QA system requirements
  • Report capital equipment incidents per QA system requirements
  • Provide support and technical assistance for in-house training courses and congresses
  • Provide system maintenance and troubleshooting training to customer biomedical engineering departments and Abbott sales and field clinical staff
  • Drive customer satisfaction through service excellence, working closely with central dispatch team and sales/clinical colleagues
  • Regular travelling across assigned territory (Poland + support to Germany and Austria)
