Requirements

  • University Engineering Degree or equivalent combination of technical education and experience on sophisticated systems, or equivalent military experience
  • Prior experience using SEM, TEM, FIB, Circuit Analysis, or similar systems is preferred
  • Ability to partner effectively with customers
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills; must have a professional working proficiency in English
  • High level of proficiency on Windows software, network knowledge, current computer hardware
  • Must have ability to obtain a valid passport and travel regionally and internationally as required
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
  • Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. (also able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance)
  • Able to secure entrance to US Government laboratories and facilities, if required
  • Located within approximately 50 miles of Austin, Texas
  • Authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship
  • Able to work with hazardous/toxic materials and use PPE (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Conduct on-site installations across the region
  • Conduct on-site scheduled planned maintenance visits per commitments and schedule
  • Provide troubleshooting and repair support for customers and other field service personnel
  • Cultivate and develop positive working relationships with users and colleagues
  • Complete technical training, as required
  • Travel, often on short notice, to customer sites to resolve problems
  • Advise external customers, manufacturing and internal customers thru effective communication
  • Partner with colleagues as mentee and mentor to continue personal and team development
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts for Service, documentation, and product factories
  • Collaborate with application scientists, technical support engineers, and customers to resolve complex customer challenges
  • Perform on-site installation, alignment and repair of sophisticated equipment and systems
  • Validate operational quality of system equipment
  • Advise customers in the operation and maintenance of the system
  • Serve as company liaison with customer on administrative and technical matters for assigned projects
  • Conduct on-site installations of analytical instruments serving the electronics research and manufacturing industries
