Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, and they may have completed or be in the process of completing the Associate in Premium Auditing (APA) designation. Additionally, the ability to drive an automobile, maintain a valid driver’s license, and adhere to Auto-Owners’ underwriting guidelines for coverage is required.
The Field Premium Auditor will audit insured records to determine proper exposure classifications and premium basis, providing reports and recommendations to Underwriting. They will also determine the proper exposure classification, premium basis, and scope of operations through observation, discussion with insureds, and review of accounting records, reporting and discussing exposures to determine underwriting eligibility. Furthermore, the auditor will communicate with claims and underwriting associates, appointed agents, and insureds, and make recommendations to Underwriting for coverage termination based on observed exposures, while managing assigned territory through effectivity scheduling audits.
