Requirements

Candidates should have over 5 years of experience in hiring and managing a team of 5 or more employees in operations, hardware, logistics, or a related field, along with over 5 years in field operations, delivery, logistics, or technical support. Strong oral and written communication skills are necessary, as well as high-level interpersonal skills to work effectively across all levels of the organization. Strong organizational, collaboration, and problem-solving skills are required, along with the ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays on-site. A valid U.S. driver's license and the ability to drive U-Haul-sized vehicles are essential, as is the ability to lift 70 lbs and spend extended periods on your feet. Technical skills include over 3 years of experience in electro-mechanical, robotics, automotive, electronics, or a similar technical field, proficiency with diagnostic tools, experience with software and hardware troubleshooting, and familiarity with Jira or similar documentation tools.

Responsibilities

The Field Operations Supervisor will hire, train, and develop a team of field operations technicians. They will lead daily operations, ensuring smooth deployment and retrieval of robots, and monitor and evaluate staff and robot fleet performance to meet KPIs and service operational objectives. This role involves collaborating cross-functionally to identify pain points and product needs to increase efficiencies in operations, coordinating with Operations, Hardware Management, and HR for personnel administration, and ensuring proper documentation of operational procedures and performance improvements. Additionally, they will troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair robots, monitor and support the fleet in the field, conduct component- and assembly-level testing, create and implement SLAs to track team performance, provide feedback to engineering and development teams, track and manage lab and component inventories, log repair activities in Jira, and maintain the cleanliness and appearance of robots.
