Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field
  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on consulting, architecture, or leadership roles
  • Proven experience working with enterprise clients, understanding their security challenges, and developing tailored solutions
  • Deep understanding of security frameworks and standards, such as NIST, ISO 27001, and SOC 2
  • Strong technical skills in areas such as network security, cloud security, endpoint security, and incident response
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with both technical and executive audiences
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex situations and develop effective solutions
  • Location within the Great Lakes Region (WI, MI, OH, IL, IN, KY, W.PA)

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted security advisor to clients, understanding their business objectives, risk tolerance, and cybersecurity posture, and translate those needs into actionable security solutions
  • Lead security assessments and workshops, develop presentations and proposals that communicate complex technical concepts to technical and executive audiences, and deliver compelling value propositions for Optiv’s solutions
  • Collaborate with field sales teams to identify and qualify opportunities, contribute to sales pursuits, and design security solutions and services engagements
  • Build, leverage, and maintain strong relationships with key client stakeholders (e.g., CISOs, CIOs, CTOs, security teams), attend industry security events, lead local chapters where possible, and contribute to thought leadership content (e.g., blog posts, white papers, threat updates, solution architectures, conference presentations)
  • Maintain knowledge of the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, compliance requirements, frameworks, industry best practices, IT landscape, and innovative technologies impacting business risks and security posture; provide regular knowledge sharing and insights to clients and internal teams
  • Provide feedback to Services and Solution development teams on market trends and client needs to influence Optiv’s offerings
  • Represent Optiv at industry events and conferences to build brand awareness and network with potential clients
