Responsibilities

  • Aid in the development of stretch and base energy codes and building performance standards.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement strategies for revising building codes, including:
    • Input on code change recommendations.
    • Technical analyses.
    • Stakeholder engagement.
  • Author, review, and provide quality assurance for code change proposals, including:
    • Prioritizing concepts.
    • Writing code language.
    • Analyzing savings, costs, and impacts of energy-efficient and low-carbon technologies.
  • Facilitate collaboration across internal and external teams.
  • Communicate technical information to clients, stakeholders, and policy decision makers.
  • Guide team in efforts to overcome technical and management challenges.
  • Participate in code development proceedings.
  • Offer suggestions to improve compliance with existing and proposed code requirements.
  • Develop and deliver presentations on technical topics to various audiences.
