High School diploma or GED equivalent
Minimum of 4-6 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
Basic computer skills and knowledge of MS Office software (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
Strong understanding of and adherence to shop safety practices
Strong oral and written communication skills
Proficient in the use of hand tools and machinery related to Facilities Maintenance
Experienced using a forklift
Experienced in common building repairs such as plumbing, light carpentry, painting, electrical, fabrication, etc
Valid California driver’s license with a clean driving record
Ability to complete tasks in resourceful and effective ways
Works on assignments requiring considerable judgment and initiative, understanding implications of work and making recommendations for solutions
Determines methods and procedures on new assignments; may be informal team leader
Able to excel in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment where small teams share a broad variety of duties
Displays strong initiative and drive to accomplish goals and meet company objectives

Responsibilities

Receives and completes daily Track-It™ facilities work orders, including minor electrical/lighting repairs, plumbing repairs, drywall repairs, painting, and ceiling tile repairs
Provides support on construction, repair, and maintenance activities such as landscaping, framing, modular assembly (cubicles), fabrication, painting, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical
Supports all department moves, additions, or changes, including inter-office transportation
Operates a forklift to relocate materials and tooling
Utilizes aerial platforms (scissor and boom lifts) to repair equipment like lighting and banners
Sets up conference rooms and special events
Provides custodial maintenance support in emergencies
Assists with preventative maintenance on all equipment, such as machinery, building electrical systems, plumbing, modular systems, and HVAC
Assists with monthly EH&S inspections and maintaining a safe work environment
Assists with processing waste streams (recycling, universal waste, and hazardous materials)
Assists other departments to meet milestones or deadlines
Other duties as assigned
