Requirements
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in façade design, including curtain walls, windows, and cladding systems. They must be skilled in preparing shop drawings and detailed takeoff summaries, and proficient in AutoCAD, Logikal Software, and Microsoft Excel. A strong understanding of construction documents and architectural drawings, along with excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills, is also required.
Responsibilities
The Facade Designer and Estimator will prepare accurate shop drawings for windows, curtain walls, and panel systems. They will perform material and quantity takeoffs by reviewing plans and creating summaries in Excel/PDF. The role involves working closely with engineers to develop and revise designs and calculations, ensuring drawings meet applicable codes, standards, and project specifications, and utilizing Logikal, AutoCAD, and Excel for design and estimation tasks.
