The Export Compliance Program Manager (APAC) must have a strong understanding of global export controls and sanctions, with specific knowledge of China Dual-Use and Rare Earths export controls, as well as APAC trade regulations in China, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, and the Philippines. Experience with Entity List programs, sanctions controls, customer/supplier due diligence, risk assessment, audit execution, red flag analysis, and compliance assurance initiatives is required. The role also necessitates experience in developing and maintaining trade compliance policies, procedures, and desk instructions, and supporting Deemed Export programs.
The Export Compliance Program Manager will monitor trade compliance regulations, implement trade compliance controls, and reduce trade compliance risks within the APAC region. Responsibilities include resolving complex trade compliance scenarios, conducting due diligence and risk assessments, executing audits, analyzing and resolving red flags, and supporting compliance assurance initiatives. The role involves managing compliance with specific regional regulations, supporting the Entity List program and sanctions controls, leading the Import Export Compliance Assurance Program, developing audit methodologies, and drafting/updating policies and procedures. Additionally, the manager will serve as a training liaison, a point of contact for local trade compliance SMEs, and provide trade compliance support to various internal departments to enable sales and reduce risk.
