Requirements

  • 8+ years of product management experience, preferably in a developer-facing or platform role
  • A strong technical foundation. You are very comfortable working closely with APIs, SDKs, and documentation
  • Experience working with or on developer platforms, API products, or technical ecosystems
  • A passion for developer experience — you care deeply about great tooling, intuitive docs, and reducing friction
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills — you can clearly articulate product ideas to both engineers and executives
  • Empathy for developers and a track record of shipping lovable experiences
  • Hands-on experience building apps, even as a side project — you know what it's like to be the dev reading your docs
  • [Nice to have] Experience at a fintech, infrastructure, or API-first company
  • [Nice to have] Familiarity with OpenAPI/Swagger, Postman, GitHub, or API client tooling

Responsibilities

  • Define vision, strategy, and roadmap for the developer experience across API onboarding, documentation, SDKs, error handling, developer tooling, sandbox, and support touch points
  • Deeply understand the needs of Plaid developers through direct engagement, research, data, and collaboration with our Developer Relations team to turn developer feedback into product improvements
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Design to ship intuitive, high-quality experiences that reduce time-to-first-call and increase successful integrations
  • Champion a high-quality, consistent and delightful developer experience across the entire lifecycle of Plaid’s developer experience
  • Balance qualitative feedback & intuition with quantitative success metrics to drive high-quality decisions. Own and report on success metrics like activation rate, dev NPS, time to integration, and SDK adoption
