Estimator I

Position Overview

The Estimator I is responsible for detailing customer job proposals based on blueprints and work order specifications and estimating materials and related costs for the specific business segment.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Minimum one to three years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Working knowledge and proficiency in the use of computer and business-related software, including Microsoft applications Excel, Word, and Outlook

Responsibilities

  • Performs material take-offs from blueprints and creates a complete, comprehensive proposal based on the plans and specifications provided
  • Creates and details production tickets and assists in purchasing materials for ongoing projects
  • Coordinates changes with customers, salesmen, and purchasing and maintains change order log
  • Performs other duties as required
