Candidates should possess a history of performance in quota attainment and developing customer accounts within the Higher Education or State and Local Government sector, along with expertise in enterprise software sales and a deep understanding of the higher education landscape. They should also be able to navigate complex procurement processes and cycles, understand and respond to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Quotes (RFQs), and maintain expertise in enterprise technology solutions, including cloud computing, cybersecurity, networking, SaaS, and digital transformation.
The Enterprise Account Executive will navigate complex Higher Education and School District procurement processes, identify and engage key stakeholders at colleges and universities, including executive leadership, IT, academic, and administrative teams, and build and maintain strong relationships with CIOs, IT Directors, Procurement Officers, and other key stakeholders. They will also apply industry knowledge and research, travel onsite to key customers for executive presentations and user group presentations, tailor sales presentations and proposals to address the specific needs of Higher Education Institutions or School Districts, execute a solution-based sales process, develop and prospect new business opportunities, leverage existing relationships to expand Smartsheet’s footprint, articulate Smartsheet’s unique organizational solutions, facilitate partnerships with various teams, and develop a territory focused on executive awareness, sales pipeline, and bookings growth.
