Engineering Manager (Product Engineering)

Candidates must have managed an engineering team of at least 2 people, possess extensive experience with Frontend (React, JS, ES6 and Jest) or Backend (Elixir/Phoenix), demonstrate a commitment to promoting Remote’s values, exhibit solid communication skills, possess solid knowledge of engineering and development principles and best practices, demonstrate proven organizational skills with attention to detail, prioritize efficient processes with a kind, people-first approach, be able to inspire others and instill confidence, and have a good understanding of team dynamics.
The Team Leader is responsible for managing a small product team of 3-5 engineers (backend and frontend), spending 30% of the time on management work while actively participating in product development, being involved in hiring processes for their own team and assisting peers, managing the onboarding process of new engineers, serving as the spokesperson for the team and managing team dynamics, providing continuous and constructive feedback, helping the team grow continuously, and providing guidance and coaching to the team.
