Proven ability to direct activities of a team with integrated hardware/software systems design function
Experience designing and developing electronic, electromechanical equipment or systems-oriented products
Ability to prepare installation, operation, and maintenance specifications and instructions
Skills in conducting feasibility studies on engineering proposals and technical data
Capability to collect operational data and prepare customer application information
Experience selecting, developing, and evaluating personnel
Ability to solve complex engineering problems from order execution through startup
Knowledge of business system paperwork processes, technical notices, and issue resolution
Familiarity with iPD regulations and maintaining project files
Strong accountability in meeting commitments, deadlines, disputes, and negotiations
Commitment to maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information
Skills in resource utilization planning, tracking, and exception reporting
Effective communication of business vision
Experience in process improvement activities
Coaching and development skills for direct reports
Ability to manage 3-15 engineering professionals and coordinate with support teams
Support for company-wide programs, strategies, and initiatives

Responsibilities

Develop and execute engineering/application team plan including execution strategy, growth objectives, target market, applications, customers, technologies, pricing strategies, and core competencies
Participate in development of business team strategic plan to support marketing and execution strategy
Support execution of Annual Operating Plan for assigned industry/application
Solve complex engineering problems associated with assigned business segment from order execution through startup
Participate in identification, implementation, and proliferation of focused applications in assigned industry/application
Process business system paperwork, obtain reviews per procedures/guidelines, and handle technical notices/product notice tracking and issue resolution
Maintain updated files covering all iPD regulations for business/projects
Demonstrate accountability for completing work assignments and meeting commitments
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive technical, financial, and commercial information
Manage utilization planning for team, including tracking and exception reporting
Coordinate internal and external meetings and prepare necessary reports and documentation
Gather and summarize data to support utilization, Contingency Work Force, and GEC usage for business team
Communicate business vision effectively
Lead process improvement activities within assigned business scope
Coach and develop direct reports
Manage organization of 3-15 engineering professionals and coordinate with support teams
Anticipate need for change and support company-wide programs, strategies, and initiatives
Ensure team conformance to QMS/ISO/iPD/Safety standards and company requirements
Plan resources and assign people to project teams
Work with direct reports to address training needs
Create environment conducive to successful team interaction and customer satisfaction
Manage through direct supervision professional individual contributors and skilled support contributors
