Requirements

7+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years leading teams focused on platform, infrastructure, or reliability
Proven track record of driving platform and developer experience initiatives that improve productivity, reliability, and system scalability
Comfortable working across cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or similar), CI/CD systems, and monitoring/observability tools
Familiar with modern AI technologies and infrastructure patterns
Experience leading or collaborating on incident response, reliability reviews, and capacity planning
Skilled at managing remote engineers across time zones and fostering strong communication and collaboration

Responsibilities

Leading and growing an infrastructure team of 3–5 engineers focused on SRE and DevX initiatives
Driving reliability, observability, and performance across Maze’s services and infrastructure
Designing and evolving internal tooling, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud infrastructure
Preparing infrastructure and tooling to support AI/ML workloads at scale
Supporting engineers through coaching, mentorship, and clear career development paths
Partnering with peers in engineering leadership to define technical strategy
Collaborating with stakeholders across Product and Engineering to ensure infrastructure enables efficient delivery
Owning incident management processes, including on-call rotations, post-incident reviews, and continuous improvement of system reliability
Hiring, mentoring, and developing high-performing engineers
Balancing technical excellence with pragmatic delivery in a high-growth, remote environment
