Requirements

  • 7+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years leading teams focused on platform, infrastructure, or reliability
  • Proven track record of driving platform and developer experience initiatives that improve productivity, reliability, and system scalability
  • Comfortable working across cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or similar), CI/CD systems, and monitoring/observability tools
  • Familiar with modern AI technologies and infrastructure patterns
  • Experience leading or collaborating on incident response, reliability reviews, and capacity planning
  • Skilled at managing remote engineers across time zones and fostering strong communication and collaboration

Responsibilities

  • Leading and growing an infrastructure team of 3–5 engineers focused on SRE and DevX initiatives
  • Driving reliability, observability, and performance across Maze’s services and infrastructure
  • Designing and evolving internal tooling, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud infrastructure
  • Preparing infrastructure and tooling to support AI/ML workloads at scale
  • Supporting engineers through coaching, mentorship, and clear career development paths
  • Partnering with peers in engineering leadership to define technical strategy
  • Collaborating with stakeholders across Product and Engineering to ensure infrastructure enables efficient delivery
  • Owning incident management processes, including on-call rotations, post-incident reviews, and continuous improvement of system reliability
  • Hiring, mentoring, and developing high-performing engineers
  • Balancing technical excellence with pragmatic delivery in a high-growth, remote environment
