Requirements

  • Key member of the Leadership Team
  • Active member in cross functional committees (e.g., Food Safety, Packaging, Safety, Quality) and global DWTs
  • Ability to develop and implement policies, standards, and procedures for engineering and technical work
  • Skills in recruiting, assigning, directing, evaluating, developing, appraising, and performance managing staff
  • Capability to prepare budgets, bids, and negotiate contracts
  • Proficiency in SAP modules and team capability development
  • Knowledge of risk management, including identification, analysis, mitigation, and treatment plans

Responsibilities

  • Develop Business Plans & action plans with stretched KBIs and ensure meeting objectives, holding self and team accountable
  • Ensure consistent compliance, process discipline & enhancement of company requirements (Quality, Occupational Health, Safety, GMP, Food Safety, Hygiene, International Standards (ISOs), Security, Environmental aspects, Workplace Rights); passing audits with no critical/repeat/major findings
  • Maximize & improve the Plant’s capability, capacity & resources utilization, overseeing & resolving constraints and performance management across all engineering areas
  • Develop and deliver the company’s strategic goals & commitments
  • Manage engineering KBIs, including Capex & Opex, to ensure continuous sustainable improvement
  • Identify and prioritize projects (scoping, design, execution, benefits realization) providing solutions for current/future requirements and business needs; justification, feasibility, payback
  • Establish Site Master Planning with five+ years strategic plans to support site development & long-range growth
  • Provide direction & solutions for future anticipated demand & new product segments
  • Lead Plant Maintenance programs (corrective, preventive, predictive), calibration, spare parts availability, SAP execution for facility, utilities, equipment, automation, bulk storage, warehouses, laboratory, administrative buildings & resources to ensure optimal availability and reliability
  • Fulfill all company procedures for Quality, safety, loss prevention, and GMP
  • Improve partnerships with Contractors, Suppliers & Consultants
  • Plan and execute annual Plant shutdowns (maintenance, overhauling, upgrades)
  • Drive continuous improvement culture, change management & transformation
  • Drive Value Creation (cost saving/avoidance) and Value Optimization initiatives
  • Recruit employees; assign, direct, evaluate work; oversee team development and competency
  • Effective daily management of the engineering team to provide pro-active, professional services
  • Lead, motivate, communicate, develop, appraise, and performance manage staff
  • Ensure adequate department documentation, records, DSF, as-built drawings
  • Establish and enforce department standards; maintain company image
  • Establish good working relationships with site staff and department heads
  • Identify risks from Risk Management & implement mitigation/treatment plans (prevention and resolution)
  • Monitor safety, security, and environment impact; prioritize maintenance activities
  • Ensure best utilization of SAP modules and team capability development
  • Standardize internal activities, enforce adherence and discipline
