Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager or Program Manager in a technical, engineering-heavy environment
  • Strong ability to manage projects with multiple stakeholders, including 3rd-party vendors or strategic partners
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, virtualization (KVM, QEMU, libvirt), and networking concepts (BGP, OVS, automation frameworks) is a plus (not required to be an expert)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Technical curiosity, organizational excellence, and exceptional communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Drive the planning, execution, and delivery of critical Core Cloud initiatives, including hypervisor, networking, and GPU infrastructure projects
  • Serve as the central point of contact between Core Cloud engineers, other Vultr engineering teams, and leadership
  • Manage project communication with strategic external vendors and partners (e.g., hardware suppliers, technology partners, and service providers)
  • Ensure that internal and external stakeholders are kept informed with clear updates, timelines, and deliverables
  • Build and refine lightweight but effective project management processes that keep the team moving efficiently
  • Proactively identify risks, blockers, and interdependencies; work with engineering leads to mitigate them
  • Maintain accurate project plans, technical requirements, and post-mortems to ensure knowledge is shared and repeatable
  • Drive the execution of key projects, coordinate with internal engineering teams, and manage communication with strategic external partners
  • Ensure that technical milestones are achieved on time, risks are tracked and mitigated, and both Vultr leadership and 3rd-party stakeholders remain aligned
