Requirements

8+ years of engineering leadership experience
Deep experience working on complex products and/or their respective platforms in a high growth environment
Experience leading & scaling engineering organizations of 35+ in size
Proven track record of growing high-performing teams beyond initial size
Passion for leading, coaching and building an inspired team
Strong decision making skills
Effective communication and storytelling abilities
Ability to influence engineering partners and leadership at all levels
Business acumen paired with an understanding of applying the unique leverage of platform principles
Experience with FedRAMP authorization from an engineering perspective
Ability to operate at multiple altitudes (developing vision and strategy to driving execution)
Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth environment

Responsibilities

Lead multiple teams to deliver results consistently and sustainably while holding a high bar for execution and quality
Proactively identify, define, and lead strategic initiatives to align engineering capabilities with business outcomes
Partner closely with engineers & leaders across Vanta to create foundational building blocks for accelerating product engineering
Guide technical strategy to ensure long-term value aligned with Vanta's business priorities
Build a high-impact engineering team to coach, mentor, and create an environment where teams and managers can deliver for the business
Play an integral role in influencing and shaping Vanta's engineering culture and strategy
Own and maintain Vanta's FedRAMP authorization from an engineering perspective
Partner cross-functionally to ensure compliance and evolve systems to meet customer needs
Grow high-performing teams beyond initial size
Develop and execute vision and strategy for the engineering organization
Drive execution and delivery of results
Communicate effectively and tell compelling stories to influence engineering partners and leadership
