Candidates should possess a degree with 10-15 years of manufacturing experience. The role requires independence, the ability to work with minimal supervision, and strong interpersonal skills for building relationships with colleagues and vendors. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, along with familiarity with typical test equipment, is necessary.
The Manufacturing Test Engineer will support new business plans by studying cost, capability, and capacity, identifying new technologies, and developing new capabilities for Test. They will also manage resources to maximize test equipment uptime and capacity, modify and improve test systems and procedures, and control costs while forecasting budgets. Key duties include maintaining the documentation system, participating in employee involvement teams, conducting regular preventive maintenance on test equipment, and providing training to Test Engineering Assistants and Technicians. Additionally, the engineer will resolve test hardware and software issues to meet zero TPF targets, develop and drive test TTT actions for all products, and modify test software to enhance test methods.
